Example: 3-days forest hiking tour:
Day 1: We will meet you at your hotel or another agreed pick-up point in the morning for transport to the starting point of the hike, about one hour drive. From there we hike for about 12 km. on narrow trails through the forest. We do not rush and will take brakes as needed. In the late afternoon we arrive at one of the basic “marka-huts” owned by the Norwegian Trekking Association where we settle for the evening and prepare a delicious meal on basic cooking facilities.
Day 2: After a proper breakfast we continue our hike, this time through old forest in a protected nature reserve where we sometimes have to climb over fallen trees. We cross over hilltops with great viewpoints and hike through open pine-tree areas with traces of wildlife. If we are lucky we will spot moose on the way. We cross small rivers and will have lunch at the banks of one of the many lakes. In the early afternoon we find a campsite by a lake and if weather permits set up our hammocks among the trees and prepare a fire by the water. We enjoy the evening around the fire listening to stories from the guide, or from each other. You’ll fall asleep in your hammock while watching the treetops and the stars above you.
Day 3: A proper outdoor breakfast before we pack our stuff and continue our hike which eventually will end up by the civilization again, and a quick transport back to the centre of Oslo by minivan or subway. We will arrive in Oslo sometime after lunch.
